This book was really different from the 1st one, but I still liked it! I think these first 2 books are super set up for the future ones I think. I liked that it was more of a town like setting rather than the dungeon. I also really like that Mongo is getting big and I love that Mordecai is more of a main character. George Orwell is fantastic at taking real life political climates and creating a story that exudes the issues at hand without directly speaking on the climate itself. This book was 94 pages and for all 94 pages I was having a whole internal conniption because the plot is so similar to the issues at hand in The United States circa 2025. I chose to rate this as a trilogy because it was too much to rate individually. The original three novels in this universe are absolute juggernauts of young adult fiction/dystopian literature.
