Spring Reading Goals

Plurnts

Ideal genres are horror and science fiction! I have an old lab partner/college friend in Denver who is BIG into sci-fi and creative writing, he’s been a big push in my life to give the genre another try and has recommended me a book called The Chosen that is on my reading bucket list. Another sci-fi book I want to read is called Empire of Silence, and I think I will give the classic, Flowers for Algernon, a read through since my mother read it to me when I was very young! Two more highly anticipated books: All About Me! (A Mel Brooks autobiography) and Between Two Fires (medieval horror). In short, I hope to read at least two sci-fi novels, a biography, and horror novel by March/April!

My Spring reading goal include, but are not limited to the following:

I have a minimum of  26 books to read this year. Because its 2026 duh. Though My Fiancé just told me today that every book I read this year equates to 1 dollar he will spend buying me books at the end of the year. Basically he wants me to read 75 books this year and I am SCARED.

I will be focusing on reading some classics, I want the quality of my books to go up, but I cannot guarantee that as I literally have a Quan Millz book sitting on my bedside table as we speak.

Lastly, I am putting away more intentional time to sit down and read, no phone and internet to interrupt me. Just me and the written word. Who knows if that will happen? Stay tuned to see how that pans out.

I want to finish reading Lost Gods by Brom and A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G Summers. I felt unsure about them but am more than halfway through in both and they're getting pretty good. I'm wanting to read Animal Farm by George Orwell and The Unworthy by Agustina Bazterrica. I might be road tripping to Florida so I'm hoping to bring a few books and plow through them. My reading goal for the whole year is 12!
