Dungeon Crawler Carl - Matt Dinniman

GlURP, GLURP MOTHERFUCKER! Wowie zowie, this book was fantastic. Carl and his ex girlfriend's cat, Donut, have no choice but to enter the Dungeon after their Earth is terraformed by aliens. In doing so their fight for survival is televised to the entire universe.

This book is genuinely so funny I don't know where to start. The AI having a foot fetish, the mid dungeon interviews, and Carl's genuine reactions actually made me LOL. Matt sets this book up with a ton of detail and continuously reminds you of Carl's and DOnut's ever growing stats so you don't feel lost. Carl is also a genuinely good dude. It's nice to read about good people for a change.

If you like video games or DnD, you need to pick up Dungeon Crawler Carl.
