Stands up and starts clapping slowly
God. Damn. I didn't know I was gonna read a virus smut book but I did. It was done very tastefully, always describing around what was actually happening never outright saying it. I liked that. Sarah knows that her readers can understand context.

I genuinely thought this was about an alien virus on a base on the planet mars. I have no clue where that came from because this is actually about a research base in the desert outfitted with 6 team members and now a virus that will kill them all. Except its got the hots for Kinsey?
Our main character Kinsey is sexually attracted to the form of a virus in a microscope. That is okay. I'd rather her attraction be something subliminal/microscopic than something grotesque. Now the one thing she loves is also attracted to her and it gets... weird...
I like how the lichen/virus picked them all off one by one. I am a little sad that Jacques was exiled prematurely. I think maybe he could have survived if he had not been sent out into a desert storm.. Anyways I really liked the ending and the body horror in this book was very interesting.
I also really liked the use of the past and the present in the book. It was written very well and honestly, if some indie movie director picked this up it would probably become a cult classic.
