The Bluest Eye - Toni Morrison

I don't have many words for this book only because the content of this book is more than what I thought. A young black girl wishes for blue eyes so as not to be ugly anymore. Her mother and father grew up in unfortunate circumstances and she also is growing up in unfortunate circumstances. I really don't want to delve into it more because it makes my heart hurt.
