This one was incredibly boring. A young girl grows up in a cage with 39 other women. 3 male guards watch them at all times. they aren't allowed to touch, aren't allowed to do much of anything. One day a siren goes off while the guards are unlocking the doors to give them food. The guards rush out, our narrator and the other women escape and start walking the land. They suspect its not Earth because nobody can identify where they are and they survive by taking supplies from the cabins they find along the way (cabins that hold an underground bunker identical to their own with bodies of 40 people who didn't escape. They continue living in the wild (barely any nature, not an animal in sight.) for 40 YEARS. Nothing changes besides everyone else dying off while our narrator is constantly talking about all the things that she has never experienced. She finds something at the end which turns out to be a whole crockpot of NOTHING. NO ANSWERS FOR ANYTHING IN THIS BOOK. Waste of my time unfortunately.
